Renewed Certifications for Tree Awareness, Inc. in 2020!
Happy 2021! As we look back on the past year, there have been many ups and downs for most of us. Fortunately, at Tree Awareness, Inc., we could continue with our production schedule through the pandemic.
2020 was not only a busy year for production, but also for our Certification department. It is imperative for businesses to keep up their credentials year after year in order to provide excellent service in the safest way!
In the beginning of 2017, Tree Awareness, Inc. underwent an evaluation from the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) that audited every nook and cranny of our business to be awarded the status of being an “Accredited Tree Care Company.” The audit looks into many areas of the business including finance practices, production procedures, safety plans and implementation, insurance coverages, quality control and adherence to the industry standards, employee management and ongoing training, certifications, plus much, much more! At the close of 2017, we were granted the honor of becoming the first “Accredited Tree Care Company” in our area. The certification is valid for 3 years. So, mid 2020, we began the process again to have our company be Re-Accredited. We are thrilled to say that in December, 2020, we in fact achieved this distinguished honor for the second time!
Along with renewing our Accreditation status, we also renewed a couple certifications that keeps us up-to-date with the industry’s standards: LTE certification and CTSP certification, both required to be accredited with TCIA.
In April of 2017, a law was passed requiring all tree care/landscape companies who want to practice in the state of NJ to have an Licensed Tree Expert (LTE) or a Licensed Tree Care Operator (LTCO) on staff as well as be registered with the NJ Board of Licensed Tree Experts. Paul has been an LTE for many, many, many years. This law was put into effect to legitimize the safety of the tree care industry and ensure the highest quality of tree service for the residents of NJ.
The last certification renewed was the Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP). A CTSP does more than simply educate a team in safe work practices. As a safety “coach,” a CTSP works to develop and nurture a safe work environment in four key areas:
Leadership
Hazard identification
Incident control and prevention
Adult learning
This program provides a well-rounded education in safety concepts, plus the tools needed to effectively communicate on the job site.
What does all this mean for you? It means that Tree Awareness, Inc. is continually improving to provide the best quality of service to our clients in the most safe way possible!
Thank you for being the reason we push to be the BEST!!
God Bless,
Paul ~
