BZZZZ, SAVING A HONEY BEE HIVE BEFORE REMOVING A TREE FOR WEST DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP!

Tree Awareness was contacted by West Deptford Township to remove a tree in a resident’s back yard but on township property. Lo and behold, the tree contained a honey bee colony! In conjunction with WD TWP and a local beekeeper, we were able to strategize our approach to remove the tree safely as well as maintain the bee hive. The beekeeper screened the hive, Paul cut about a 10 ft piece of the trunk and we safely loaded the piece onto the beekeeper’s truck to transport to a safe location!
