Heading to expo

As I sit here in a local coffee shop, I am buttoning up some last minute business before I head off to TCIA expo! Expo is the tree care industry’s largest trade show and conference. This will be number twenty something. We always know we have been at things a while when we have lost count. Something decidedly different is happening this year…

For many many years I have traveled to and east coast city to see new equipment, hear new ideas, and connect with friends through amazing networking opportunities. This year I am adding to that, one key component. I will be presenting to a group of my peers on Friday morning. My topic will be the value of time, and managing our time based on values. This topic is really a reflection on my life of running a family business and wrestling with the question , what gets my attention ? My hope and prayer for this talk is that it stimulates some new thoughts in people’s minds as to what should get their attention and focus, as they navigate their lives and businesses.
Hopefully,the next time I’m writing it will be on the positive experience I had sharing with my tree family. The idea that now I am presenting to my peers is an exciting and welcome one. I typically feel very welcomed among this group..
