Is My Pine tree dying?
Each year our office phone rings with people asking the question, “is my pine tree dying?” Pine trees are evergreen and they do hold onto their needles for several years . However, Pines do go through a normal cycle of dropping their needles. They will first turn yellow , then brown and then fall off. This yellowing that has been occurring recently and now browning and littering up you grass and bed space is a normal function of this cycle.
Pine trees like many other specie of trees do get insects and disease issues . If your suspicions run deeper than just normal needle drop perhaps a call you your local certified tree expert is in order. Chances are if it looks like the above mentioned and it occurs during normal fall leaf drop season you are good to go!
